As something of a Black Friday bargain for many, the Google Home Hub is a more ambitious update of the Google Assistant hardware released almost two years ago. Whereas the original and the Mini rely solely on Audio cues and responses, the Home Hub has the ability to display information, schedules, video, and connected devices to the user allowing for a richer experience.

The Google Home Hub features a 7-inch touchscreen atop of a fabric-covered base, a similar design to the original Google Home. Google Assistant is essentially the operating system, Bluetooth 5.0 provides for connectivity, and an ambient EQ light sensor deals with the ambient light to adjust the brightness automatically, even blending the screen colours with the surrounding colour scheme. The Google Home Hub doesn’t carry a camera.
