Today, the fastest growing social media network musical.ly, announces new features to its live-streaming platform livel.ly. Face Filter and Collab are two new exciting features being introduced to all fans.
The Face Filter function will allow fans to live stream to their fans using a real-time face filter. These filters can be used as an overlay to the muser’s (musical.ly user) face when broadcasting a video to their fans. This fun feature provides users with a creative tool to share everyday moments and engage with friends in a creative and exciting way.
Six new filters have been launched which are:
- Captain – a virtual beard appearance with captain-style characteristics
- Beauty – a very subtle update that smooths the skin’s appearance
- Chipmunk – gives the user chipmunk-like cheeks!
- Piggy – the likeness of a pig with a snout and pig’s ears
- Hawaii – a beach vibe is reflected with a sunglasses update
- Echo – adds a floral crown to the user with flying birds
The second feature to be introduced is Collab. This function allows two live.ly users to share a joint-livestream with each other. Two users will be able to collaborate together and broadcast in one video. Once the Collab button has been selected, livel.ly users can invite their friends to co-host a video with them.
Since October 2014, musical.ly allows producing, sharing and discovering of short videos that are called musical.lys and is the fastest growing social network responsible for new trends within the music industry. The musical.ly community already consists of more than 240 million musers. More than 15 million new musical.lys are uploaded daily. Face filters and other editing features, such as setting the speed of the video independently of the soundtrack, provide users with a variety of options to create their own creative content before they can be sent directly to or via other social media platforms.
