Google will release two sizes of smartwatch in Q1 of next year

Google has delayed the launch and is keeping Android Wear 2.0 in a developer preview state until early 2017. Perhaps the plan was to have a smartwatch drop on the scene the same time as the Pixel phones as a complete package.
