Asus Transformer 3 takes it up a notch


Asus has unleashed the Transformer 3, Transformer 3 Pro, and Transformer Mini at the Computex show in Taiwan. Much like the Zenfone 3 range the Transformer’s have received some big changes to make them extremely desirable.

This Windows tablet has a a12.6 inch, 2880 x 1920 pixel display with 275 pixels per inch, an Intel Kaby Lake processor, and support for up to 8GB of RAM and up to 512GB of solid state storage. This comes with a “Sleeve Keyboard” and Asus is expected to sell the Transformer 3 for $799 and up.

Asus Transformer 3 Pro

At first glance, this model looks a lot like the standard Transfromer 3. But its a bit thicker, at 8.35mm, and it has a built-in Microsoft Surface-style kickstand that lets you prop up the tablet without using the removable keyboard cover. Much like the Zenbook 3 most of the connectivity and expansion will be provided by the docks Asus have available.

Asus Transformer Mini

Asus has not revealed many details about this little Transformer tablet, however the Mini features a 10.1 inch display, measures around 8.2mm thick, and weighs less than 1.2 pounds without a cover or 1.74 pounds with a keyboard cover. No prices have been announced.
