Samsung And Royal Blood Create Immersive Music Experience

On the 27th April 2017, as part of Samsung Electronics’ exclusive partnership with Brit/NME award-winning Brighton rock duo Royal Blood, the band performed live using the latest 360 technology to bring fans even closer to the action.

Hosted at an intimate gig at the Collins Music Hall in Islington, London, Samsung invited Royal Blood’s biggest fans to see the band premiere music from their new album How Did We Get So Dark, plus favourites from the 1st album.

In a unique 360 live stream, fans were virtually transported to the Samsung Infinity Room, where they were within touching distance of Mike Kerr and Ben Thatcher as they performed tracks from their new album live for the first time.

“We’re thrilled to have created such a cool and innovative 360 experience with one of the most powerful and authentic bands out there, and we hope all music fans enjoyed getting this unique infinity perspective at an incredible gig.” said Sam Grant, Marketing Director, Mobile at Samsung Electronics UK & Ireland.

The gig is the first in a series of music events that Samsung will be taking part in this year, including having a presence at some of the hottest music festivals to hit the UK this summer.
