Acer today unveiled a new range of stylish, compact and affordable Android mobile devices that strike a balance between personal and work life, whether connecting at home, the office or on the move.
The Acer Iconia Talk S is a 4G LTE 7″ tablet capable of making phone calls. Taking concept to the next level Acer have thrown in a dual-SIM design just so you can make even more phone calls. Powering this portable beast is a quad-core Cortex-A53 CPU with 2GB of RAM and 16 or 32GB ROM complete with expandable storage. Android 6.0 Marshmallow is in play and making use of the extra space Acer has popped in a 3400 mAh battery that should see up to 9 hours. A 1280 x 720 HD display is surrounded by anti-slip finish help the user with the somewhat large size. The 13MP camera on the back is more than you would expect for the price and coupled with a 2MP selfie cam this should suit many an exec down to the ground. Launch will happen in September and the pricing is set to €169.
Acer Liquid Z6 has a price tag that could be as low as €119. A 5.0″ HD screen runs on a quad-core 1.25GHz Cortex-A53 processor with, sadly, 1GB of RAM. There is a paltry 8 GB ROM with much needed expandable storage, an 8MP main camera, a 2MP front facer and a 2,000 mAh battery. We should see this in November.
The Acer Liquid Z6 Plus is a much more acceptable device. A 5.5″ IPS 1080p display with a 2.5D curved glass. A slightly beefier quad-core 1.3GHz Cortex-A53 CPU sit inside however 3GB of RAM will propel most tasks. The device is made of metal and comes with 32GB of expandable storage, a fingerprint scanner, a 13MP main camera, a 5MP selfie shooter, and the 4,080 mAh battery should keep this trotting on for a couple of days. We should see this device in December priced around €249.
