The first proper Android Wear 2.0 device has arrived and will see the second 100% round face. The stainless steel casing is water resistant with an IP67 rating and is comes in three beautiful colours, gunmetal black, silver, and rose gold. There are three hardware buttons, two more than normal. The extra buttons can be customised to open a particular app, by default, the top opens the fitness tracker app.
A 340 mAh battery will last for up to two days and Asus are touting “HyperCharge” a new form of fast charging that only takes around 15-minutes to replenish 60 percent of the watch’s battery life. ASUS will also include a compact battery pack, attached it to the back of the watch and you’ll have a 40% charge on the go, you aren’t running out of power! The ZenWatch 3 is one of the first smartwatches to be powered by the new Snapdragon Wear 2100 processor, the first wearable-focused processor.
Launch date unknown however European pricing is €229.
